My Favorite Beautycounter Products

This past year has brought about a change… in my beauty routine! I have fallen in love with so many products from the company, Beautycounter. Not only because they make high-performing makeup and skincare products, but they are a company that cares about the safety and integrity of what you put on your skin. Their products go through a rigorous screening process being tested for heavy metals three times before being made available. Additionally, they avoid ingredients that are banned in other countries, but not in the United States, making their quality a step above the rest.

Our skin is our largest organ and what we wear everyday matters! Not everything I wear is perfect, but you have to pick your poison! Whether we’re talking about skin care or diet, it’s about doing the best you can, when you can! I’ve been happy to share about the Beautycounter products I love ever since I started using them last Spring.

Here’s a round-up of my favorite products from Beautycounter that I began using this year. These all make perfect holiday gifts! I love far more than what I have listed below, but I’m trying to limit what I’m calling out for now so I don’t overwhelm anyone!

Gift Giving Tip: Listen to the 5 Love Languages!

Struggling with what to buy your loved ones this year? I suggest giving in the way the receiver will feel the most loved. What am I talking about? Using the 5 Love Languages!Give in the way the receiver feels most loved

The 5 Love Languages is a book written by Gary Chapman. He sorts the way people feel or express love into 5 categories:

  • Words of Affirmation
  • Acts of Services
  • Receiving Gifts
  • Quality Time
  • Physical Touch

So if the person you’re giving to doesn’t feel love from a physical gift/item, perhaps it’s not the best way to show you love them. If you can find out their love language, then do you best to “speak” it this year.

For example, if you discover that your loved one feels most loved when you spend quality time together versus when given a gift, you can schedule an activity together, like a special meal or a manicure.

If it’s words of affirmation your loved one seeks, then a thoughtful card or letter that you spend time on, expressing how you value them will be a great gift.

Physical touch? Maybe this one is tricky if it’s not an intimate relationship, but surely paying attention to giving hugs, holding hands, or otherwise embracing in appropriate ways is important to remember when you’re together.

Acts of service their language? Help them accomplish something like cooking a meal together where you lend a hand, or running an errand or two for them.

While it’s truly wonderful to give to others in any way you can, I do honestly believe that the most thoughtful way we can show love to others through our gifts is by getting to know what makes them feel most loved, then delivering on it. You’ll find that the reception of the gift is perhaps less awkward, and the way you’ll both feel as a result will be wonderful.
