Mango, Papaya and Pineapple Salad [Best Choice]

Get the juicy taste of Starburst from real fruit! The fact that it’s infused with energy boosting vitamins is a plus. Especially when those nutrients also make this salad gentle on the waistline.

Refried beans are one of those side dishes that can be dressed up in many ways – burritos, casseroles, tostadas, breakfast toast, even naked bowls. But the store bought variety are sometimes a bit…bland.

My old college roommate served this tasty version last weekend and I just had to have the recipe. Imagine how thrilled I was to find out it came from a crockpot. It cooks overnight, while you rest, and the only “work” required is using a potato masher to mash the beans before serving.

Southwest Avocado Toast [Good Choice]

Looking for a fun way to spice up breakfast? Try this Southwest Avocado toast. Scrambled eggs, salsa and avocado on top of toast is a lot more tasty (and filling) than buttered toast.

Slimming Tip: Use whole wheat bread for the toast. Studies show whole grain products actually lead to a slimmer stomach.

Green Chili Corn Chowder [Better Choice]

Cold weather calls for creamy, comforting soups. And when those soups pack a bit of heat, the meal is even more enjoyable.

Unlike most chowders and creamy soups though, this soup is actually slimming, since it doesn’t depend on cheese to make it creamy.
